For testing, don't take to deep a cut. Many light cuts. Also start the threading a bit ahead of the end of the part.

I havent had much change to get into the shop lately, but I did a new model and test today.
I've included the cnc file, clean report and a picture of the thread.

I'm using a carbide threading insert, which is aligned correctly. Just FYI. It does seem as if some passes were not aligning with the pitch correctly as there appears to be two peaks very close together.

It also looks like a butress thread and I'm not sure why! Im using 0 angle straight threading.

I am at a loss. I hoped you would do a video showing the threading process on your machine.
Watching your threading process start to finish, may give some clues to those more experience than I as to where to look or suggestions to make.

Please show pictures of how your encoder is coupled to the lathe and which encoder you used?

Did you happent to go through setting up rigid tapping on your lathe?

If you have a good encoder, and your VFD is properly setup, you should be able to rigid tap on the lathe as well.

I might be grasping but with the information you have provided, and my limited experience, its the best I can do.
