Thanks for the reply I had to put this back on hold for now but I did get the heart beat back by only having the e stop hooked up and power

This is how I have my gecko hooked up I am getting a heart beat and the gecko is powered up and sending power to the stepper but can't get the stepper to move

Look at the new schematics for the gecko's. You should be connected to the DB25 header

When I looked at the gecko drive info in the wizard it said screw terminal

Picture is blurry, WHICH model Gecko drive is it.
Recently, it was decided that 5v logic drives SHOULD be connected to the DB25, NOT the headers.
Maybe the schematic you are looking at has not been updated. Which schematic number are you referring to?

The screw terminals sink 24v. If you're using the Gecko 203v, it needs a 2.5v to 5v source signal. It's common is ground. In other words, you would have to do a lot of engineering to get ia 203v to work with the screw terminals.

Couple of questions does the screw terminals and DB25 both send a signal at the same time or do they have to be assigned in the wizard. also Is there a way to check is there is a signal going out

Same time. Hook up a stepper driver and motor to test
Do go into the Wizard DB25 Signal Mapping and make sure it is set to DB25 port
