Look over they systems that I have shown here. I use the SureGear for NEMA34 and another unbranded (import) for NEMA23 motors. You can also change the ratio of your belt boxes, I sold a few dozen of them. It all depends on your budget.

I have completed my upgrade to the latest rev of acorn software and also re worked my control box and added a control
dash panel also eliminated a bunch of redundant things that were in the old box setup.
my next step will be to increase the resolution on the drives.
I also kept the lizards for the motor drives rearranged their configuration to save space so I could fit the relay board in the box.

4.2857 or 3.4285 to 1. Those were the 2 combos I used back then

I am looking to increase the resolution in the final drives
I am currently running 4 to 1 belt drives with a 30 tooth pinion
so it brings the ratio down to aprox 3 to 1.

Going from 4:1 to 3:1 will reduce your resolution (and torque) by 25%. Going to a 24T pinion will increase both by 20%.
Since resolution can be "what you set it at" and resolution via microstepping and available torque are often inversely proportional do you have a specific issue that you are trying to solve? I ask because more router type cutting issues can be cured by more mechanical reduction, rather than less.
