I'm hung up on a few details:
1 Estop circuit.
The current estop works by cutting power to the spindle and stepper drive and i presume the coolant pump as well. All the G540 schematics i've looked at show the estop cutting the enable signal. I've considered using this method however the spindle drive, is close to inhibit so i don't trust it for an estop.
Is there a practical reason to inhibit the spindle and steppers outside of estop/fault condition?
2. AC interference
The original lube pump did not have a float but the replacement does. I have to replace the power wire to make use of the float and i was wondering if the ac power would create interference if i ran 2 extra wires (use 18/5 300v rated service cord) to the float switch and used 24v straight to an input?
