what is your definition of "goto machine coord"? what is the line of code you want to execute?
G53X0Y0Z0? or?
use the Park button , or just edit the M58 macro and add your line to the m58 macro and your done.
new vcp editor?

I personally never understood those buttons and replaced them anyway. "goto" what machine coordinates? Not even sure what this button would do or how it would be used or helpful. In the old version what did it do when you pressed it? Where did it move to?
Do the skin event numbers in the button XML file correspond to the skin event for the aux key in the wizard on the VCP aux keys page?

Sorry, should have typed "goto machine xy0". Yeah, I could just use park, and I do have it there with a custom position, but I've always just used goto machine xy0, which uses the default mfunc47.mac, when I want the gantry out of the way quickly. It's just been that way from the start and is what I've kept using all along. Never-the-less, with v5.04, there seems to be something keeping it from working with the same VCP configuration as v5.02, and previous versions.
Skin events, xml's, and wizard all line up, and what worked previously for aux keys 13 and 14 doesn't work now.
Could it have something to do with this, which was supposed to be fixed in v5.04.....

M58 is the ProbeApp.
Keith, I thought you mentioned something new for editing the VCP some time back. Not the color picker, but something else. Probably mistaken or misread, because I can't find it now.

ok looking into it further.
if M58 is not available. just edit some other button that is not being used. you don't have to mess with skin event numbers for this type of thing. so i think you might be digging a hole for yourself, read the vcp manual on highjacking an existing button. which ones on your VCP are you not using? pick one, and simply edit the macro that it is assigned to and edit/rename the svg button image or xml file and your are done, no skin event numbers to monkey with.

I use the buttons on my WMPG-4 to have a G28 (Return to Machine 0 all axis'), XY0, and a Z0.Sword wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 12:18 am Sorry, should have typed "goto machine xy0". Is there a way to copy the Y axis function into the lathe setup. Into an old V4.8 version?

Hello StephanStephan wrote: ↑Sun Jul 16, 2023 5:11 am Thank you for pointing this out. My pc needed a language update which I had to look for. 2 hours later....
Now my keyboard doesn't work properly. Now the key for Y is a Z key and vice versa.
thanks for the great update.
I needed something like that.
But ok let's see what's new and what's really good.
I tried the Y axis directly and it finally works. It's really great.
Fantastically cool.
Then let's look at the first picture. There are little buttons for radius or drill.....the idea is good
but facing and radius don't work.
Picture 2 shows when Jog is active. The color is so light on my PC that it is difficult to read.
Picture 3 and 4 show the tool being measured.
the picture and the color is too cluttered.
someone who is a beginner will not understand what that means.
if you want to calibrate a tool, then half the image also disappears.
The next problem is when you want to calibrate a tool with the tool setter, you could always
go to it with the keyboard and then have it measured automatically.
Now I have to deactivate alt jog and activate it again only then can I drive the tool back to the probe.
Or I always have to leave the table, then move the tool to the probe and then go back to the tool table.
Picture 5 shows feed rate.
25 50 75% cool
no more pressing the plus and negative button until the mouse breaks.
But why can't you go up to 200% anymore?
There are bound to be more bugs......All of this combined does more harm than good to Centroid.
This version is worse than V4.8 so I switch back.
I recommend every beginner to give V4.8 and to improve a lot on V5.04.
Didn't Uwe see it all?
Best wishes Stephan
The one shot buttons and the Go to XY home are both related Aux key issues that will be resolved in the coming release.
There is options in the Wizards cnc preferences menu to set the minimum and maximum feed rate override.
Your keyboard key switch is due to German and English differences in key locations.
The Keyboard jogging disabled when entering a menu is for safety as most menus have the option to traverse menu options with key strokes. The same key strokes that will move the machine if keyboard jogging is active.
For Pictures 3 and 4 , your images do not look right. They are not intended to be all yellow for one. Also the image cutting in half is unusual. Can I have a report to better pinpoint what going?
Thank you for your feedback

CNC12 Beta v5.05 r2 now available for testing
https://centroid-support.filemail.com/d/pcsxfifglwpmyud
Centroid CNC12 v5.05 r2 Release notes. 7-20-23
Acorn, AcornSix, Oak, Allin1DC, Hickory.
Mill, Router, Lathe, Plasma
1.) Plasma THC now keeps track of the Z machine coordinate home position when switching in and out of THC mode.
2.) Plasma THC WCS Z position drift bug fixed, (related to item #1)
3.) Fixed bug where CNC12 function keys would disappear after exiting Restart Mode in Plasma
4.) Fixed bug in Restart Mode where moving backwards on the first event would consider the starting point at (0,0) rather than where the torch head currently is at
5.) Plasma Intercon: When moving the start point in a dxf or svg group, the graph will remain at the scale in which it is positioned
6.) Plasma Intercon: Fixed bug where lead out length value was being applied to a Lead In event causing a tail on DXF imports.
7.) Plasma Intercon: Added DXF Gap Tolerance Upper and Lower Bounds to control the vector that is added when bridging gaps between lines, arcs, and splines
8.) Plasma Intercon: Removed drag\drop native feature from textboxes
9.) Plasma: Added Scribe support in the Wizard with supporting CNC12 Parameters. Added parameters 562, 563, and 564 for Scribe X Offset, Scribe Y Offset, and Scribe Delay respectively. Wizard page was created to setup Scribe in Plasma which writes to these parameters.
10.) Offline Intercon/CNC12 emulator: Fixed crash when using Emulator software and accessing motor config screen or creating a report
11.) Lathe VCP: Added optional diagonal jog button VCP skin.
12.) AcornSix & Hickory Wizard/VCP: Wizard will now automatically add 5th and 6th axes jog buttons to the VCP using the drive letters assigned in the configuration menu. Note: If a diagonal skin is being used, Lathe won't automatically add 5th and 6th axes and Mill/Router won't automatically add the 6th axis, in these cases it is up to the user to hand edit the VCP.
13.) Acorn,AcornSix, Hickory Wizard: Increased Rackmount bin count to 100. Bin setup table automatically adjusts to bin count entered by user as well.
14.) Rotary Axes: Added bit 16 (+65536) to the axis property parameters to denote an axis that is a rotary but the motor revs are configured in units of revolutions (instead of degrees). (Max rate should be set in RPM). With this bit set, the rotary axis can be programmed in degrees as the conversion to revolutions is handled internally. The DRO is displayed in degrees. This is in anticipation of an upcoming Wizard Rotary Axes setup page.
15.) CNC12: MDI phantom character bug fix attempt to solve intermittent phantom characters from appearing in the MDI history area.
16.) Plasma Intercon: Added a "MoveOrigin" feature under Edit>Move Origin that allows the user to set a new origin point
17.) Plasma Intercon: Reworked the group feature to be able to add lead-in/out to frames and dxf/svg imports easily
18.) Plasma Intercon: Added "% of Profile Feedrate" option to the grouping menu
19.) Added "Tangential Knife" option to "Linear Or Rotary" selection in the Wizard Axis Configuration Menu in anticipation of T-knife development
20.) Updated Aux 13 and 14 skin events in the button xml file to match the updated numbers. These updates were inadvertently omitted.

Re: Centroid CNC12 v5.04 has been released. Click here to download.
the y button is gone the picture 3-4 is now white but same result you don't realize what you are doing there if you are a beginner.
the buttons for champfer radius work great now.the green font for jog is still too light.I can not read it.
thank you for the effort you put into improving centroid.
I'll wait for V5.9 or something first.
switching from english to german always takes too long for me.
To me, Centroid is a tool, not a video game
Thank you
Greetings Stephan
