Cutting some small ovalish shaped holes about .375 dia x .5 long and the torch dove into the material. backed up shut off thc and finished the part. Does a person need to leave the thc off if the part has small cutouts in it? I also get waiting for memory all the time while running. is this normal? Also seems like the torch fires and waits a noticeable amount of time to move sometimes. I have a .25 torch pierce dwell

Thanks for the help. large learning curve for me.

Usually the THC is turned off in the G-code for small circles. Depending on the circle speed the Anti dive usually kicks in for small circles.
Hypertherm recommends cutting small circles at 60% of the profile feedrate.

An arc ok signal from the Plasma cutter is can help with consistent start times for the Pierce delay.

Make sure the Grounding in the cabinet is correct and the clamp material is connected to the material.

THC on and off codes can be found in the Plasma manual. G and M codes
