If you are getting the 500mm part from the dimensioned drawing I posted that is not the correct drawing. Sorry about that.

490mm and 8mm Mill will go with good positioning.

Often by modifying hard stops and home sensor, you can find a couple of extra mm travel...

I can shorten the part another 10mm with no problems I think. I will have a go at it tomorrow.

I was able to adjust things on my table to gain 12.5mm of travel in the X axis. The part cuts now with no problem. Thank you for the help.
