Now you have a different problem. If you correct the wiring and it works, great. If it doesn't it might be you now have bad prox switches from reversing the voltage to them.

That was it Tom, I switched the wires and have a green light on Acorn Board and moving gantry the switch trips and clears perfectly.

Tool Touch Off Probe: On my ShopBot I have a tool touch probe for setting Z zero height. Doesn't look like a switch, just a wire that I assume is grounded when it touches the touch off plate. It has 3 wires and black and green have continuity when the probe touches the plate as it is currently wired.

Looking thru the Acorn manual, I am pretty much confused, but found this diagram on page 12 which seems to fit.

It looks I will wire input 6 directly to common, and input 7 will be wired to the probe and circuit completed when the tool touches touch plate.

Thanks

The ShopBot probe is 5vdc and not compatible with the Acorn control

The last piece of the Puzzle is my Z touch off plate. I watched a video by CNC Keith and he showed how to rig up a conductive probe. I gave it a shot this evening and I think I have it working. Below is video of my testing and touch off probe configuration.

Kurt...
A couple notes...
1) Do not leave that clip connected to your zzero plate and try to run your machine. That is an "old SB kludge" that won't work in the real world.
2) Make sure that you provide an insulated holster for the plate so that it will not connect to machine ground while running.
3) Items 1 and 2 are very important, read them again, out loud!

Thanks Gary, I have been thinking about this for a while. I think I now understand the importance of this.

What type of touch probe would you recommend?
