There are lot of ready to use safety features build in, like door interlock or a three color light, you just have to use them on your DIY CNC ;)

You're absolutely right. I've just checked and HSD recommend the following

50% maximum rated speed for 2 minutes.
75% maximum rated speed for 2 minutes.
100% maximum rated speed for 1 minute.

I will change to those settings :)

Yep and yep, that's why it wasn't incorporated into the rebuild. ;)

If I'm not mistaken, the wrench and the key were cabled together and in a holder by the switch, so if you lost the key, you've lost the collet wrench too (that is of course if you hadn't already taken the side cutter to it on day one). :lol:

You will have no need for a collet wrench if the spindle key is lost anyway :lol:
