Hi,
Thanks a lot for your time and input.
Sorry for the newbie question,I am trying to learn and understand better how to setup,Would you mind explaining your thought process ? What is the benefit of using an external contactor ?
I look at my acorn relay board :

My understanding is that this relay will hold 10A at 250V AC. Is this incorrect? Or is there another risk I don't understand?

If one of Acorns relays quits working, it is difficult to replace, so I use them only for light DC currents.

Maybe it is also better to avoid noise problems, to keep high voltage AC as far away from the board as possible.

Thanks for the info and knowledge.

So, should I filter the noise from the high voltage using this: https://shopcentroidcnc.com/shop/cnc-ac ... -snubbers/? Also, the contactor you mentioned is for three phases, but I only use one. Is this okay?

Also how far do you need to separate high current an low one ? I bought an Optimill M4HS already retrofit, so the old cabinet takes a huge space in the back in the machine and the arcorn stuff is in a separate cabinet on the side of the machine. I was thinking of moving the servo controller into the acorn cabinet but from what I understand from you it would be a bad idea.

For 24V DC coils a suppressor diode is required, but build in the Siemens contactor.

You can use a single cabinet, but try to have some space between AC and DC parts and wires.
