Good point.
Fans should not be a problem, I can use large and slow turning ones.
But what about the A6 servos? Are they making noise all the time or only when enabled or hot?

Most servo drivers under 1 kw are without fan.

But even 150mm cabinet fans with enough flow through a filter are not silent...

I do not care, because a running CNC is way louder.

You should focus on keeping components cool and not whether or not you can hear a M2 washer hit the floor, just my opinion.

As Uwe stated, when the machine is running you won't hear the fans anyway. :D

Of course, although the SX4 itself is pretty quiet, gearless belt drive spindle with BLDC motor (that's the reason I bought it). But 99% of the time I am in the workshop the spindle will be off and I don't want a constant whine in the background.
I got a Beelink N100 in the meantime and it is not completely silent, but seems OK (and no high pitched noise from the fan).
Not sure whether I should place it inside the cabinet (which is not optimal for an external USB BOB) or behind the monitor.
