My mill is running perfectly with CL57T V4 24V on the Headers, but CL86T V3 is better on 5V DB 25.

Thanks @suntravel. not that its a big deal to re-do wiring for 5V but now I have to get a DB25 a breakout board and wire all the drives from there. Requires moving the drives and Acorn to accommodate for 3.5" DB25 adaptor. Additionally, the wiring diagram that is shown by a couple people has different drive connections than mine? I don't have ALM- but I do have ALM, BRK, and COM.

I still have 3 more drives and need pin outs for those...DB25 to signal on drives...which I just found. So now to old school very very tiny wiring to a DB25 break out board.

Your "very very tiny wires" only need to be 22awg anyway which I use with small ferrules to facilitate easy connection. Best to use with suitable multi core screened / shielded cable.

Thanks! I stuck with 24V signal. Rewired today. all indications are that drives are enabled exact for 1 drive. All lights "green". not able to move drives via GUI Acorn interface - "jog". try another day.

Do you have the wiring schematic for the CL57T V41 that uses the 24V on the headers? I believe I have it wired correctly and I am communicating to the ACORN. All COM wires going to Negative COM / GND
1)Enable lights are all red until I jog each axis via CNC12 software and they turn green but they are not moving? #4 doesn't turn to green even if I jog the axis? I can move each axis by hand whether it is enabled or not
2) Small program, ~15kb, is loaded. I'm using Router PRO software. I have Y1 axis (Drive 4) software "paired" to Y2 axis (Drive 2) and Y2 axis (Drive 4) "reversed direction" compared to Drive 2 because the actuator is mirror image. i.e. - Actuator Y1 is CW rotation and Actuator Y2 is CCW.
3) All dip switches are "OFF" except 1, 3, and 4 = 8 microstep and 1600 pulses/rev. No fault codes blinking. Green status light on all drives.
4) 24V / 5V selector switch is on 24V. Rotating switch set to #4 = 5.6 Peak Amps, 4 Amps RMS, Velocity Loop Ki =0, Position Loop Kp=25, and Velocity Loop Kp=25 - according to table in manual.
5) E-Stop, home and limit switches are wired into controller inputs. E-stop is deactivated (RED led on input 8) and home / limit switches are GREEN on Inputs 1 and 2. I don't have switches for home or limit. They wired / tied to COM
6) Not using Outputs / Relay board -all LEDs are red

Good afternoon, I am using these same drivers and stepper motors. I have already managed to do the wiring but I still don't know how to configure the parameters. can someone help me
cl86t driver and stepperonline nema23 12nm motor

Set Steps per Rev to 2000 on the drive, set the Acorn Wizard to 2000 steps per rev.

follow the setup schematic here.

set Acorn Input #5 = DriveOK

I'm struggling to get some t3D servos running. Full manual here - https://www.hlt-cnc.com/uploads/38006/f ... ersion.pdf

Page 21 shows the connection options. Since Acorn doesnt do Differerential drive (which is a pity), am I in the same boat and need to use the DB25 instead of the board connectors? I can use 5V or 24V. I've tried 5V and I can get them to spin but they arent smooth and dont react as needed. Same issue?

I think that the connector boards for those servos can work for you:

https://cnc4pc.com/c86-connector-acorn-cnc.html

For Closed-Loop Steppers you can use this one:

Where are you getting your 5v from? Did you see the notes on page 15 and 16 in reference to the 5V and 24V supply?

If they aren't running smoothly then it sounds like a programming issue. I dont know what the default control method is but maybe it's not PUL/DIR so some additional programming of the drives might be needed. It's difficult to determine a few things because the manuals is half English and half Chinese.
