And simple switch between imperial/metric without parameter changes the way it used to be?
. You can switch between millimeters and inches in the control config menu without using any parameters.

lately we have been averaging 2-3 major updates per year.
Will the next major update bring back simple, one handed keyboard jogging?

Yes, that is still the same, but it used to automatically add or subtract a decimal place when switching between metric/imperial and back. Now you have to manually edit P263 every time. I work in an academic environment and switch back and fourth 10 or more times each day. The dozen added keystrokes to change each time add up.

you can use restore report or switch between cncm directories when making more changes than just mm to inches.

I'd like to add my 2 cents regarding the (new) keyboard jogging.
Please consider making the single key jogging (like in version 5.1) available even if it's not the default. I had to go back to version 5.1 because I couldn't use the ctrl key and the number pad keys one handed.
Is this something that is user programable? I couldn't find any mention of reprogramming the keyboard jog functions.
Thanks for a great product!

Ron,
having the arrow keys live on a PC keyboard that will move heavy automatic machinery is not safe.
just like car manufactures can't ship a car without seat belts we can't have a key on a PC keyboard move a machine tool without some sort of protection, typically this has been accomplished with an aptly named "deadman" switch to make sure your coffee hasn't fallen on the keyboard while your hands are in the machine. that being said if you want to cut the seat belts out of the car you can do it, the PLC program running your control system is human readable, you'll have to figure that part out as i can't tell you how to disable a safety feature. -Keith

Hmm, I wish I'd printed the wizard settings from with the 5.19 beta before it expired. I've got 5.2 lathe running now but the wizard changed quite a bit between 4.80 and 5.19/5.20.
I'll leave it be until 5.3 comes out, assuming it implements lathe backplot.

just look in the v5.19 beta directory (or any other place you saved a report.zip file) and find the latest report.zip open it and open report.txt most all the info is in the report.txt file.
