I've used Swissi's ProbeApp from its early days in 2020 and found it invaluable on my Mill (fixed toolholders) and especially the Router with non-fixed, both using the CNC12 Mill software. Apart from freeCAD for 3D modelling, my CAD/CAM is restricted to Vectric Aspire and Intercon on both machines.
I've been privileged to have tested the new CHIPS s/w add-on since January through many iterations of CNC12 5.08 and 5.1 RCs on both machines selectively using all 3 Operation Modes including rotational probing for accurate diameter calc and Vectric Tool import functions. The Tool database functions alone are worth their weight in gold especially the batch offset measurements where you can sequentially measure/remeasure all or some tools in addition to just one.
A sincere thank you to Swissi for his massive effort and expertise in producing this App, not forgetting Keith and his team for making it all possible. CNC12 is already a superb product and Swissi's CHIPS really has put the icing on the cake.
Thank you to all once more.

I'm planning to purchase it. Just need to make a choice on which Renishaw TS27 copy to use.

Is there a discount if you have already purchased the Probeapp?

As Uwe "hinted", my first post does say that ProbeApp users can upgrade to CHIPS by making a donation in the amount of the difference of the ProbeApp donation to the cost of the requested CHIPS Software Level. For those who donated already more, CHIPS Upgrade will be free.
Just email me the report file of your CNC12 installation and let me know which CHIPS Software Level you would like.

This new version is much better than the previous versions. Previously I had trouble getting my tool heights correct so I used the built in tool measuring in CNC12. I only used the probing in the Probeapp software. With the CHIPs version it is so easy to do everything. Kudos's to you Swissi for making this dummy friendly! Between Centroid and Swissi even a CNC illiterate guy like me can make parts. Of course I do keep Uwe on speed dial.

Glad to hear it's working for you. Just want to note that CHIPS does not just make things easier for beginners, it has something for everybody, even professionals as it helps to optimize the work flow with functions like
- Enhanced Tool and Offset Library Management
- In-Job tool offset probing
- Tool Library Import and Excport
- Precision Probing for better accuracy
just to name a few.
