I need help if possible.
I am retroing a Mill and have an AcornSix & D-Scout breakout board.
I wanted to use ClearPath and was told that the SDSK can use a quadrature signal. It is an old machine and I really wanted to limit noise. The SDSK manual says it cannot take a diff signal because of the 5v requirement.
Has anyone used the D-Scout to interface with ClearPath?

You can use the AcornSix's quadrature output functions with the built in line driver and open collector outputs.
I would recommend following S15145 for the wiring to the line driver outputs then setting the axes to output quadrature signals in the Wizard.

Sorry for my maybe dumb question, but IMHO You need the Diff Expansion board or another device to get RS422 signals from TTL or open collector outputs?centroid467 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 22, 2025 2:27 pm You can use the AcornSix's quadrature output functions with the built in line driver and open collector outputs.

Re: AcornSix + D-Scout & Clearpath
The differential expansion board gives you the RS422 line driver differential outputs, yes.
However, quadrature signals can be output from all of the drive output ports - built in TTL, built in open collector, and differential on the expansion. The various types of output driver all use the same input signals.
A phase should be wired to the Step pins and B phase should be wired to the Dir pins.
