post processor

Post by jcoldon »

i downloaded centroid plasma post. can't seem to get it to post feed rates for different layer cuts like holes

when i post the file just shows feed rate no speed. did something change or is there some special tool setting needed in sheet cam
sheet cam is fine i use it with other controllers it fine . seams like centroid post not putting the feed rate in the code .

Hey Jeff.

You will need to insert a Path run to slow down the Feedrate in circles.

Here's a video walkthrough.

Once the Rules are created it's pretty easy to apply the rules in future jobs.

this is not the way feed rates get applied to the code . you made the post to reduce feed rate using path rules
normally you select your tool say that tool is set 100 ipm . then you set a layer for that tool your feed rate is set in the layer

each layer allows separate feed rate settings right on the screen . theirs no need for path rules . that stuff was old Mach 3 way doing things

i found an original centroid post i used when we started bata testing in adds feed rates to the code based on layer setting

i haven't tried it in controller it did use to work im going to try it in few min

i have tried my original centroid acorn post processor with feed it allows simply make sheet cam layer add feed rate to whatever you put in .

so say your main tool is set to 100 ipm then your layer selection for a hole you put in 30 ipm

then do another layer for a line cut you put in say 50 ipm
then another layer to cut a box you put in 80 ipm

then you post it each feed rate in there for each layer in the code
this how sheet cam designed to have 100dreds of layers to fine tune cut settings

path rules created for builds that could not do necessary plasma accelerations speeds using old Mach 3 mostly

i make a video post it on FB page upload video on here is a pain

Alright.

i'll see about combining the couple different posts available into one Post that will allow for layered feed rates and path rules.
