Re: Touch Screen Monitors
What's everyone's opinion on ELO Monitors?
I might have a source on some Elo 21.5" E497002 Pro-Cap 10-Point Touch displays on-par or better than ASUS VT207 pricing.

Re: Touch Screen Monitors
Elo is known for their industrail grade monitors. They've been doing touch for years.....BigWillieStyle wrote: ↑Thu Jan 11, 2018 3:00 pm What's everyone's opinion on ELO Monitors?

If you can get them new for sub $200 that's quite the deal.

Re: Touch Screen Monitors
Make sure the elo models are 16:9. Many are 4:3 and meant for kiosk and point of sale setups. I also like driverless touchscreen monitors that use usb if we have to run win10 anyway. Future proofs connectivity and interface and compatibility. Plus i am a fan of hdmi connections too as they lend well to the fan less computer sff and mini pcs without the need for adapters. Saving $20-$50 is not my main driver when I build a cnc machine. Ymmv.

Re: Touch Screen Monitors
Might be a good idea to buy a 1920x1080 screen instead of the 1600x900 models Marty et al are recommending. Both are 16:9 aspect ratio, but the former has 180 more vertical pixels. If CNC12 has been coded with a fixed, non-responsive/non-scalable layout, the UI will be cut off from the bottom.
I would recommend something like Acer T232HL.

Re: Touch Screen Monitors
VT207N works well with CNC12 on this end. It can be found for less than $200, teh T232HL appears to be about $300AcornFanBoy wrote: ↑Thu Mar 01, 2018 5:47 pm Might be a good idea to buy a 1920x1080 screen instead of the 1600x900 models Marty et al are recommending. Re: Touch Screen Monitors
Thanks Marty. Do you know if your monitor is scaling the image (i.e. pretending to be a full-HD display), or does CNC12 work natively with 900 pixel tall screens?martyscncgarage wrote: ↑Thu Mar 01, 2018 6:08 pm VT207N works well with CNC12 on this end. I like the Acer T232HL because it has a completely flat glass screen without a bezel. For me it's easier to open Windows 10 menus with swipe gestures as well as to wipe greasy fingerprints off the flat surface.

Re: Touch Screen Monitors
Is a dual screen setup supported?
Then you could fit the VCP to another smaller display that has been rotated 90 degrees?
VCP in a tablet would be too awesome
Edit: I mean something like this https://www.spacedesk.net/

Re: Touch Screen Monitors
Not sure. I'm happy with wide aspect ratio screen. I think dual monitors would be too much.ttlehto wrote: ↑Fri Mar 02, 2018 4:44 am Is a dual screen setup supported?

Tablet and laptops meeting minimum system requirements would probably work. Turn off power saving features.

Re: Touch Screen Monitors
You can run dual monitors as Windows 10 supports it. The VCP can be un-docked, moved, and will scale to a certain extent. The CNC12 main screen is not resizable however.
