Laser discussion
Hi all,
New Laser was install on my cnc router . It finally work , by working I mean see the light .I tried the vertical and horizontal program into laser folder in cnc12 version .
The laser light is on but just for scratching the papar sheet.
What is the problem , Me , setup, program , acorn ....
I watch video from centroid , the one for setup a laser on acorn cnc12 ... the video don't help nothing is fixing my issus.
How can I open the laser as tool playing with it intensity and moving it around with my mpg ?
I have the feeling that would not be a simple thing ?
If you want to share Your idea , please go forward !

Re: Laser discussion
Post your wizard settings pdf (ctrl+P when in the wizard), and we can see what you have set for PWM.
In MDI, M37 will enable the laser, and you can set the power level with S0-100 or 0-1000, depending on what you have set. M38 or Escape will disable the laser.
Do you have the laser focused properly on the material?

Re: Laser discussion
HI CENTROID SUPPORT , that is the message that I send to the laser compagny Endurance laser ,
Can you answer it ?
Hi George, have you physically done an installation on a centroid gland? Is this the only installation you approve for your laser installation? Question. What are the things you think can influence the laser, because mine is DPSS 10 W. It works the fans turn, if I run a program that supplies the laser lights up very very weakly. I know the laser works well because I tested it (3 vdc on the pwm) before making the centroid connection. I have to work with two companies that do not know each other and that I have to connect to them. Here is the diagram to use. Photo of the connection made. Thank you for your answer to my problem, I know I am really close,

did you press "write settings to cnc control" ?
also choose "I will configure the pwm outputs myself" on this same menu.

Re: Laser discussion
I see from the MDI history that you are commanding "M37 s800" all on one line. You should instead issue two separate commands without leaving MDI.
You should command:
M37 <Press Cycle Start>
s800 <Press Cycle Start>
You can then move he laser around with the MPG while still in MDI.
