Good evening,
Hello all. I'm starting a rebuild of my Bridgeport Torq-Cut 30. I opted for the Hickory control with Leadshine EL7-EC1500F servo drives (220v 3-phase) and matched motors. I also opted for the Centroid Hickory CNC Operator's Console with Integrated CNCPC.
Using the Hickory Controller installation manual, S15226R1 Bench Test Dwg., and drawing S15219R3, I've able to make it through the bench test all the way up to section 4.6 step 6 "Jog the motors". I successfully completed section 5 "Confirm Encoder feedback" but in section 6, when I try to jog the motors, I get an axis drive default. I've repeated steps leading up to this multiple times but end up with the same outcome.
My question is; Do I need to perform TB323 (Rev 8) (CNC12, Hickory, Leadshine EL7-EC Setup & Tuning) before trying to jog the axis? It doesn't state that in the Hickory installation manual. I should add, the Leadshine drives are constantly flashing ER-153 on start-up.
Bench test set-up and report files:
Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes. As noted (somewhat passively) at the bottom of page 10 in TB323, you need to clear any alarms in the servo drives.
That includes clearing ER153, the absolute encoder backup alarm, using Pr0.15.

Thanks for the quick response. Suggest maybe a note to add to the next revision of the Hickory Installation Manual. (unless I missed it somewhere).
