Please give me a Sanity check on wiring Servos

Post by OG1 »

I am upgrading my open loop stepper motors to Servos this holiday while I have off time. I have all the hardware now just need to wire it up and build the couplings. I already made adapters.

I found the Sigma 5 wiring diagram that was closest to what I have which is a Servopack SG-AS30BF and the Motor is a 130ST-M10015.

Pasted below is the original diagram and then updated to my needs. Please let me know if this looks right.

Thanks so very much!!! As soon as I get this mill perfected (as best I can), I will be upgrading one of my lathes to Acorn.

That looks about right to me. Not sure if I found the correct manual for this drive but comparing to SGDV manual, they don't show open collector usage. However, if they kept the 150 ohm resistor and the internal design the same then it will probably work as you have drawn it.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review it. Merry Christmas.
