Centroid "Allin1DC" DC 3-axis electronic card, one of its axes does not work.

Hi,
I have a Centroid "Allin1DC" DC 3-axis electronic card and one of its 3 axes is failing, any servomotor placed on that output does not move. The 3 servomotors were checked on the other outputs and they work. Has anyone had this problem? It was already diagnosed by electronic technicians, but they could not make this third axis work. The idea while repairing is to use "Centroid DC1 Single Axis DC Servo Drive", to have 4 axes, using this fourth as the third one that is failing, only we have doubts if it will work, I have read that the software needs to be updated, etc. , but I don't know what other requirements are required to make it work, can you please help us? The software we have is CNC11, but according to this, to use a fourth axis it is required to be the CNC12 version. Could you confirm? Is the license required to be purchased or is it only updated and not paid for? The operating system of the cnc machine is Windows 7 and the CNC12 software is a specific requirement for Windows 10 onwards, can you confirm? And what would we need to update and have what is necessary to be able to use the "Centroid DC1 Single Axis DC Servo Drive"? What if this is the solution or what solution could we do to not spend so much?.

You can use a DC1 as an additional axis drive, in any CNC11 or CNC12 version.

You can configure CNC11 or CNC12 to use an added DC1 to do the tasks formerly done by the failed axis on the Allin1DC, but it would be better to just get the Allin1DC fixed.

You should verify that all of the limit inputs to the Allin1DC (INP1 - INP6) are closed (and not just forced or inverted via software). If the limit inputs for the affected axis are open, then any motor connected to that axis will fail to move.

Post a Report, and post a picture of the Alt-i PLC Diagnostic display.

Thanks for answering. I really appreciate you helping us. First I will comment on what you mention, then I will tell the operators to do it, otherwise I will have to learn to do it myself. I looked up what you told me in the document "PLC Input and Output Diagnostic App Users Guide" and I will do the tests, but it seems strange to me that doing these tests works because the card was checked by 2 electronic technicians to fix the third axis, but no They were able to fix it although they did not mention what tests they did, I suppose they should have tried servomotors to see if it worked and thus be able to say that they could not fix it, but hey, I will do what you tell me and maybe it will be as you say, because software or because the limit switch is not working is the problem and that is why it does not move. To help solve this issue we'll need a bit more information on what's happening. Posting a report, as cncsnw said, through the F7 utility menu would be the quickest effective way of getting that information. A few immediate questions that occur to me are:
Which axis specifically is not functioning?
What error code/message is CNC11 outputting when you attempt to have it move?

That is not a report.

Use F7/Utility -> F7/Create Report. Then look for a file with a name that begins with "report_..." and ends with a ".zip" extension.

The message log does include some recent "412 Z axis(3) encoder differential error" faults, which suggests there is something wrong with your Z axis encoder, or its connection to the Allin1DC.

There are also "9039 Software Ready Fault" messages, which usually result from exiting CNC12 to the Windows desktop, without first pressing emergency stop. If you do that, then when you restart CNC12 you need to press and release emergency stop to clear the fault.

Information attached. One question, according to what you mention about the encoder, could it be placed in another encoder connector on the card to rule out that connector being defective? And what is required to configure? The Allin1DC card has more encoder connectors for more servomotors, and that is why the question is asked, to be able to use the other encoders and leave the one that fails for the moment.

Could this error be due to the card configuration file not loading? Or is the card firmware damaged? How do I update it? Or how do I reset the data card to how it was configured? Or can it only be reset to general factory data?
