Cheap CNCPC that meets requirements: Lenovo Think Center M93P and HP G3, Beelink

Ordered a "renewed" M93P on Amazon, it is NFG, no boot, seems like disk issue (the blue screen of death told me so). I'm afraid we are scraping the bottom of the refurbishing barrel on this model. I'm one of those dumb "Apple" guys who doesn't understand the "Quad-encabulator Raizen i97 6900T 1.21 jigawatt" lingo, so I'm leaning on you guys for a recommendation. What's next?

Either return it to Amazon, or you could try creating a bootable USB drive to attempt to diagnose it, or reinstall Windows with it. You'd probably need to enter the BIOS to make sure it is set to boot from USB. It did come with a hard drive/SSD? Many are sold without, and you need to make sure.

I made a USB recovery drive on my router PC and ran a clean install twice, unsuccessful. Something is wrong with the hardware, so back it goes to Scamazon. One of the USB ports was bad too, so that is reason enough.

I ordered a refurb NUC i5-7260U for a bit more money on fleaBay, based on Centroid's recommendation. Looks like it benches at 1,993 which is almost double what is required for a lathe.

The Intel NUC is way overpriced and you are paying for the name. There are dozens of 1L pc’s on the market that are a 1/2 to 1/3 the cost and just as good or better. This topic lists many of them if you read through it. Just be sure to get one that meets the Centroid minimum pc specs. Lenovo, HP, Dell, Beelink are just a few.
