My impression on the new KP1 probe.
First I made a short dedicated SK30 Toolholder for the probe.
The probe is featuring both radial and angular adjustments, easy to set it up straight and with almost 0 runout.
Stylus is with M3 thread, same as the KP3 and widely available from Centroid, Zeiss and others.
Nice thing ist the USB C Plug. If you use one of these USB C female break out plugs in your cabinet you can use any USB C cable to connect the probe.
After some weeks of use I can say it stays perfectly in center, which is not the case with super cheap probes.
Precision is ok also, less than 0.005mm deviation on my mill measuring in both directions, that includes the deviation of my mill.
So since I have the KP3 also, I would prefer the KP3, because it is even a bit better, but +350 bucks and its eating more Z height
If you are short in Z height and want to save some bucks KP1 is a very good choice.

Re: New KP1 Probe
thanks for leaving the review!
those are the exact goals for the KP-1 : shorter, cheaper, but still with good accuracy.

Re: New KP1 Probe
Cool, wish I had seen this before getting one of the inexpensive little china ones a few months ago. It works well for my purposes, but the KP1 looks great!
