The transformer in your picture would be used with the CAPBRDHI. The outer taps (with the TVS across them) feed the wires to the stud diodes. The center tap between them goes to the DC minus terminal of the CAPBRDHI.

In my August 30 reply above, I was assuming that you had a CAPBRDLO.
On August 30 your assumption was correct, however I had been sent the wrong assembly. CAPBRDHI is what I have now and is correct.
I will assume transient voltage suppressor = snubber

Just to be sure there are no further snafus, connect the CAPBRDHI to the transformer; power up; and check DC voltage across the capacitor, before you connect that DC output to the Allin1DC. You should see around 110VDC to 130VDC.

I have finally gotten around to connecting and testing the cap/board. I have 178VAC at the transformer and nothing at the +/- connection...

Did you connect the wire from the transformer center tap to the CAPBRDHI minus terminal?

Thread hijack, just got my 2nd CHNC and this one needs a lot of TLC. It has a Fanuc GN6 series with Tape Drive. Looks like Servos on the axis.

Does anyone know what version of CHNC this is?

It look a lot like my CHNC4. Mine is a 1983 that had a Centroid retrofit in the early 90's, so I have their cabinet and all the motors and controls were upgraded. In my signature is a google photo album with pictures

Thanks. I assumed it might be a 2 as I found reference to the older Fanuc system on another post. Probably doesnt matter, will all get ripped out soon anyways.

I'm back to work on the lathe project. Initial start up didn't go as planned - nothing too terrible.
I think I need to take a look at encoder inputs, specifically X. They all change on the PID screen but X shows up on the #3 axis
My contactor is not tripping - I will check the wiring
I have attached a report to see if there are any outstanding errors

Assuming you have the Z axis encoder plugged into encoder input #1, and the X axis encoder plugged into encoder input #2, then you need to restore the normal/default values for Parameters 301 and 309.

You should have:
P300 = 1
P301 = 2
P308 = 1
P309 = 2

The values you have in there are probably left over from previous Allin1DC troubleshooting.
