They never ran under Acorn, only a jog through the driver panels.
Importantly, what is the wiring problem?
We should be able to get a jog through Acorn.
When I inverted the Ena 3 signal, all the relay lights lit when I attempted to jog in the negative Z direction.
Any ideas why that would happen?

Relay lights as in on the blue 8 relay board? That is weird! You don't have any outputs defined so nothing should be happening with those.
If you meant the 4 LEDs on the Acorn near the open collector output headers, those indicate that the enable signals are on.

At this point, I do not know what could be wrong with the wiring. It might be worth trying the wiring suggested in the quick start sheet on one of the axes:
STEP to pin 3
signal gnd to pin 14
DIR to pin 4
signal gnd to pin 5
and leave pins 9, 10, and 2 as is.

Ok, I have to ask: are those DB25 cables straight through? As in, does pin 1 on one end correspond to pin 1 on the other and so on for all of the pins?

Checked the correspondence between pins/numbers on the DB25, all is ok.
Tried the alternate hookup from the starter guide for z-axis, turned on ok but when i pressed the down z axis, board shut down so i turned it off quickly. That's clearly not a solution. All ears at this point, I need to get this functioning.
Is there a way to get some reading from the acorn board to confirm its functioning right on a jog? There are only a few wires, dir, step and the grounds/24v.
Could there be any switches on the Wizard that should be checked?
Unfortunately now turning off pin 3 does not work to allow the motor to turn with panel jogging. So I've lost jogging through the panel now.

Hello, Sylvia here, writing on behalf of the engineer. We've checked the issue last nignt and figured out that there is no pulse signal coming from the breakout board. And the cnc system did control the board. Could you please tell us the spec the the IC in below pic? We want to make sure the output voltage from the board.

That would be a TBD62083AF Darlington sink driver. It provides the open collector outputs.

Thank you, Chen, Sylvia and Joey.
Of note, when I disconnect the DB25 from the drive, and have the DB25 breakout board connected to ground, then the Acorn functions properly.
But when I connect the DB25 to the DB25 breakout board, Acorn does not function, as if there is a short internal to the driver.

This would be the data sheet for a TBD62083AF Darlington sink driver, Sylvia.

When com is connected directly to com in H3 nothing changes.
Acorn does not function when Gnd on DB25 BOB is connected to ground system and DB25 and DB25 BOB are connected.
When DB25 and DB25 BOB are disconnected, Acorn functions.

Definitely sounds like a wiring issue and something is being lost in the text translations. Sketch a schematic of what you have connected so we can "see" the wiring.
Cheers,

Tom

Wiring +24V to pin 3 (PP+) input most likely damaged the input circuit. The drives probably do not read the step pulses now, so they have no reason to move.
