What kind of cable is that between the Acorn and the breakout board? If it's not a pass through cable that's the issue and it's probably not pin for pin. Unplug the cable and plug the DB25 breakout board into the Acorn.

So I removed the cable and connected the db25 directly. Still don't have movement but when I try to jog the axis; the motors hum. They are locked up after the acorn powers on. What do you all think now? Thanks

How did you go? Im doing a new build and cant think of anything.... I have the CL57T drivers and nema 23 closed loop steppers. I wired up one motor through the board to do a bench test and got it jogging one way and the other. Now if you say you have that, will that would make me think its not wiring so much as could be your settings in software? As the motor IS recieving power and direction.

Are the drives configured properly for the motors? Do you have the torque set properly for the motors? I'm assuming the motors ARE NOT connected to the machine when you are testing this, yes?

Motors are not connected to the machine. At this point, I am not sure is I have them configured properly or the correct torque. Any suggestions as to what the settings should be/ how to configure them properly? Thanks Jason

i'd get some colored stranded wire and rewire it so you can keep track of what wire is going where. :D

also looks like a lot of dust and grit getting into the electrical cabinet which is going to cause big problems.

this is not good.

pull the Acorn, put it on the bench.

connect one drive/motor and bench test it. using this schematic.
https://www.centroidcnc.com/dealersuppo ... 207.r1.pdf

don't have any thing else that is not required to run just this drive attached.

use a wooden clean bench.

do not connect the enable at first, get motor turning first.

reinstall cnc12 and start fresh.

once you get one motor turning add the others to the bench test

then reinstall Acorn in the cabinet so this terminal strip is not mounted like that.

see other cabinet examples in the plasma manual for guidance on cabinet building.

i don't see any photos showing the entire cabinet.

what are you using for a power supply to the drives.
