Hello!
I'm having some trouble with installing the KP-3 on my machine.
Avid Desktop PRO Router
ClearPath Servo Motors
S30C ATC Spindle with Hitachi WJ200
I don't have two free inputs to use on my main board for the KP-3 probe, so I purchased the Ether1616 board. I hooked up the board using the official guide, and it appears to be working. Under the Acorn Wizard I can set the inputs to Probe Detect (Input 1) and Probe Tripped (Input 2). I'm following Marty's YT video on setting up the KP-3 probe When I get into probe testing the probe isn't detected, and it doesn't trip when triggered. I could use some help figuring out what I'm doing wrong. Thanks in advance!

Re: Request help with KP-3 Probe install
Do not use 1616 for a probe, that works way better on the inputs on the Acorn, because they are faster.
1616 is for inputs and outputs that are not time critical.

Re: Request help with KP-3 Probe install
I moved the inputs like you suggested and now the probe works.
...but...I had to move something to the Ether1616 board, so I moved "pressurelowstop". Now it doesn't work.
...then I moved "driveok" and that didn't work. I moved "estopok" and it didn't work.
What am I missing here?

Re: Request help with KP-3 Probe install
Make sure you have the correct resistor bank values for the operating voltage in each bank on the Ether1616.

Re: Request help with KP-3 Probe install
Solved: Apparently the +24V supply cable for Inputs 1-4 on the Ether1616 board was the issue. I made a new cable and everything is working fine now. Thanks for the info about the Ether1616. The information about the "common uses" was easily skipped over in the manual.
