You can try one of his drives in your machine and vice versa for a quick test. There are about 20 parameter settings in those drives that could be changed or not.

Should be hooked up to the DB25 header with 5v logic. It says 5v prefered in the manual.

do you have link to the manual for these drives?
I agree with Keith and Ken, wire these drives to the DB25 as it states in the manual on multiple pages "5V recommended". for the PUL+ and DIR+.

I'd also set the steps/rev on the drives to 3200 and set the step rate to 100,000 in the wizard.

This Leadshine page has a link to the manual. https://www.leadshine.com/product-detail/ES-DH2306.html

Thanks to all of you guys. Today I will try to play with the parameters on the drivers. I have already two setups with one old Acorn and one other break board and the same drivers are working fine on the screw terminals and the connection is simple as the regular stepper- Step and Direction. The drivers work with an original, preloaded parameters, and step rate 200, 000 I will try to use the Pro Tuner software to check is there something wrong and eventually switch one of the working drivers with the new one and check the situation, and post here. May be the new version of Acorn does nod like these drivers..... ;) I noticed something strange. If I push or release the emergency stop on the software, on the old Acorn I always hear the click of the relay. On the new one there is no klick. May be because the relays are smaller? Thanks.

You of course can wire and program the machine any way you like but if you want it to work correctly wire the drives to 5V and the DB25 as per the Leadshine manual. Stepper drives wire to the DB25 and servo drives wire to the Acorn headers. It clearly starts this in the Acorn install manual and countless time on this forum. Leadshine classifies that drive as a STEPPER drive, it's not a servo drive.

Acorn loves those drives..........when they are wired to the DB25 using 5V where they belong. :D

Set the steps/rev to 3200 in the wizard and in the drives and the step rate to 100,000 in the wizard. This will yield optimal results. Anything else and you'll be back here asking more questions.

As for the "click" you refer to, you have no outputs setup in the wizard so there's no relay to "click".

Secondly, why are you pushing the e-stop? There's no reason at all to use that button unless it's.....um.......AN EMERGENCY. Use the escape button on the keyboard, the tool check button on the VCP or the cycle cycle stop button on the VCP.

Does that apply to most of this kind of stepper drives?
I am using Stepperonline CL86T-Drives, which should be very similar to the leadshine and i have set the frequency to 200kHz, too.
In the manual the max Pulse Input Frequency is 200kHz, so i thougt i should use this for Acorns Setup, too?
My steppers are running on 1600/rev because... i don't know why

No expert here, i am just interested in making it good.

I run CL86T with 4000 pulse 200khz on 5V without problems and the Cl57T V4 with 400khz on the lathe

Not necessarily, the slightly fancier and newer stepper drives can handle the higher step rates like yours and the other one Uwe eluded to. Many of the open loop drives cannot. Nearly all the Chinese knockoff drive manuals will say they can handle 200K but many simply cant. Keith wrote a post a while ago that explains all this is great detail so rather then reinvent the wheel here's a link to his post. It's a good read and hopefully you'll have a better understanding of what it all means.

After long delay, I am back again. Long story short..... DB25 was the solution to run the Leadshine drivers and Acorn together. I have build two more Leadshine- Acorn setups and ONLY DV25 works. I still cant understand, how mine (the very old version) Acorn still working with the same drivers and motors thru the screw terminals?????? Is there any hardware changes or software? Any ways the problem was solved successfully. Many thanks to the great community here.
