You will probably want a little more space between the right side of your terminal blocks, and your output relay boards.

As seen in your 2/3/24 picture, there is no room for wires to connect to the right sides of those terminals. Not, at least, if those wires have ferrules and labels, and you actually want to be able to read the labels.

You appear to have plenty of room to move the relay boards a couple inches to the right.

Made a little more progress, the X axis Leadshine motor is mounted. The hardest part by far was getting the Leadshine motor cables fished through the flex wire rack that goes to the cross slide. There are already both wires and air lines in there and the Leadshine wires already have the motor plugs on them. I still have to get all the turret and limit switch wires connected back together.

I was able to get the wiring cleaned up on the cross slide and got rid of the AMP taper pin plug while I was at it. The X+ & X- limit, the turret up/index solenoid, the turret stop solenoid, the turret lock sensor and turret encoder all feed through here. Originally the X axis encoder and two more limits were mounted here as well.

I like your idea of using the terminal block: how many connections?
What is going on with the tube - is there wiring inside? I only have one cap but I don't think the missing cap had a hole...?
When removing the AMP connector were there any static components within the blob on the backside that need to be accounted for?

Hi Lavrgs, the block is 18 pin and it could be some less since since there are a few duplicate +24V & 0V wires, but I decided to keep them separate here and combine them on the terminal block in the cabinet.

The only items I reconnected were the X+ limit, x- limit, turret sensor lock sensor, turret up/index solenoid, turret stop solenoid, & the turret encoder.

I removed the X axis encoder, the course home and fine home limit switches, and the servo motor cables. I think about 18 wires total.

As far as the amp connector goes mine was pretty much in from the cabinet on the bottom side and out to the components on the top side.

There are a couple of MOVs (assume to be mini snubbers) not shown in the picture that go between the +24 & 0V on the turret up/index solenoid and the turret stop solenoid. I hadn’t got them on when I snapped the picture.

The hose is the exhaust for the turret air motor, it attaches to a port in the cover so you don’t exhaust oily air inside the compartment.
