BillyBobRon is one of the users that needs the "Coarse & Fine DRO Adjustments" documents that I mentioned to you Keith. Hopefully you can add those to the Acorn Documents page soon. He's not dialed in his steps/rev yet and I mentioned to him to not attempt to cut anything until he does.

Thanks, I sent him both the coarse and fine documents already. I had just asked Keith to add those individual documents to the Acorn Document page so people didn't have to go looking for them on the forum. I know the procedure is outlined in the install manual but having those docs by themselves on the docs page might be very helpful. They seem easier to follow for some. I send them to many people when they just setting up their machine or to help them really dial it in. I just thought it would be great if they were added to the docs page with all the other helpful docs.

Hi Ron, is that the latest report? The one you posted is 6 days old and from 5.04. You should have upgraded to the latest version like we discussed. It fixes the latest bugs found in 5.04.

Have you not made any changes in the last week? You need to tell us what's happening, we can't guess the issue(s) by looking at your report. The error log only shows a home switch failed to clear twice so you may not have the axis pairing and squaring setup correctly. There are just a couple of ethernet communication errors, the last back on 8-26, so that's a noise issue. You still haven't dialed in your turns ratio and your probe input has the wrong input set. It needs to be "probe tripped".

What's wrong? Help us help you.

I made the newbie mistake of upgrading and not thinking it would knock out all my settings that I struggled to set in the first place! where do I find these?
Thanks

did you read the upgrade install instructions that are on the v5.06 download page? this doc answers your question.

in the mean time if you want to get back to where you where that is very simple. close cnc12, use windows to:

open c: and change the name of the cncm folder to anything other than cncm.
cncm change name.png
THEN

go change the name of the latest backup (find by date) of the old cncm folder it will look like this
cncm backup.png
to cncm.
rename cncm.png
rename cncm.png (11.06 KiB) Viewed 5916 times
now you are back to the version you were running before installing v5.06. now you can follow the upgrade instructions from here.
starting on page 7

I don't know if anyone monitors on the weekend? And I wish I could come here and say hip hip horay the machine is running great and made my first cut!
But No, the other day as I was very near completion with everything calibrations, speeds, literally everything. I had one question! so it was said to me that if I did not have the recent update, I might not get much help! So, in my hesitation I went ahead and ran the update and now when I try and go in and redo the settings somethings will not save and leaves me dead in the water! I have tried several times today with the hopes of making one test cut to see if my machine will cut! But NOooo!

Did you import your license first? Certain options in the wizard will not be available or save without it.
