Having an issue with controlling spindle speed with my Acorn build. Attached is my report. I did the spindle bench test with no issues, but now I get no change in the Analog output after changing the slider on the VCP or give a M3 S* command through midi. The spindle spins as soon as it is turned on via the VCP. The system is wired per Acorn drawing S 14984 Ver: 3.
Huanyang VFD model HY02D223B, manual attached. Current settings are as follows:

Looked through the bunches of Huanyang VFD threads but didn't see anything like this. Any help you can give?

Re: Acorn Spindle Speed Won’t Adjust
test the spindle with a 9v battery without acorn with the wire unplugged from acorn board. then use a volt meter to see if the board is putting out what you expect. That should narrow down which way your issue is.

Re: Acorn Spindle Speed Won’t Adjust
Just remove the analog control wires from Acorn and hook them to a 9v battery?

Re: Acorn Spindle Speed Won’t Adjust
Yes, it's a quick easy way to see if 9v will give you 90% of expected speed. Then you know which direction to troubleshoot.donaldintexas wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2023 6:10 am Just remove the analog control wires from Acorn and hook them to a 9v battery?

Re: Acorn Spindle Speed Won’t Adjust
Thanks, Ken, found a loose wire on the analog terminal. Tightening up fixed the problem.
