Hallo,
I saw on youtube this possiblity, I am running the lathe pro version and but I don't see this option here.
Will it also become available on this version ?

Re: Importing DXF files
DXF import is only available on the Mill/Router version of Acorn. The Lathe version does not have this capability.
Cheers,
Tom

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

Re: Importing DXF files
Just stumbled over this issue now, too.
Here Marty said it may have been added to the "to-do"-list: https://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic. ... 307#p56307
Is this correct? Will there be an DXF-import for Lathe-users in the future?
Until then and/or if not:
Does anyone know a fast and easy way to get all endpoint-coordinates out of a dxf-file for faster, easier and flawless Intercon-programming with CNC12-Lathe?
I think, Autocad had such an option (create all endpoint-measurements with one click), but Autocad is quite expensive for such an easy task^^
LibreCAD (what i am using most of the time for easy 2D-CAD) doesn't seem to offer such an option.

Re: Importing DXF files
I use snap and dimension functions, in the seldom case I use CAD for turned parts....

Re: Importing DXF files
Lathe envelopes are much easier to create in Intercon than profiles on a mill. I'd rather have Centroid's programmers spending time porting the Acorn improvements to the Servo version of CNC12.
Cheers,

Re: Importing DXF files
I take it from the above comments there is no facility for importing DXF files into Lathes? I have spent quite a bit of time following the “import DXF video” from Centroid.
If it’s not available could you pease edit the Video re lathes. I for one would like to see it for the lathe, as I am surprised it’s not there! If it is then can someone please guide me as to how I do it.
Thanks,
Brixham Engineer.
