Re: Acer e-Mill Anilam to AllIn1DC conversion build
Well the message at startup is gone! Guess I have a working system....well other than the spindle. Who needs a spinning spindle on a CNC mill anyway huh'?
Now to go figure this part out.. Happy Easter

Eureka!
Faulty contactor.
Moved wires from L1/T1 to unused L3/T3.
We have a working spindle now.

Are you following the installation manual?
You should and not be jumping all over the place.
Page 72
6.13 PERFORMING A SYSTEM TEST
In some versions of CNC12 software, when finished, the main menu will display a message saying “Machine Setup Not
Completed. Machine Is Not Ready To Run. Contact Your Dealer” as shown below.
At this point you will need to run the System Test to clear this message. Documentation on how to perform a system test is
located here. (http://centroidcnc.com/usersupport/supp ... emtest.pdf )

Re: Acer e-Mill Anilam to AllIn1DC conversion build
I do not disagree with you at all. My issue is that the test was performed and the message cleared, but then it returned.
Upon attempting to run the tests again I get an error about a missing parameter. When investigating that parameter error I find that the test actually just failed for reason "X or Y". Be nice if they results just said "Failed" and why instead of saying missing parameter. Bit misleading to me.

Why the test failed is in the test log file.
Cheers,
Tom

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

Re: Acer e-Mill Anilam to AllIn1DC conversion build
I am starting to get frustrated 3 times today I started with page one. worked through to page 71. Keep getting stuck with 907 X axis travel exceeded. I am on step 5 of 6.11 Software travel limits in the instructions.

Now the system "Test"
After pressing Cycle Start
Outputs 306 Job Finished without doing a darn thing.
No errors no movement

Really? That is how you pass the test?
No interaction or acknowledgement on screen?
Finally I can make parts again?
