Re: Going from V4.62 to V4.82 PROBLEM
Thanks Scott, so there's no human readable file huh? Only the cncm.wcs? I'll add it to my manual backup script and try it out.

cncm.wcs, cncm.ol and cncm.tl to restore WCS and tool setup.
readable only for superhumans

Re: Going from V4.62 to V4.82 PROBLEM
Thanks Uwe, I already have the tool library and offset library in my batch file for manual backups. I'll add the cncm.wcs even though I'm not "superhuman" enough to read it.

I think they teach this class at my local college but I'm not smart enough to take it yet.

Re: Going from V4.62 to V4.82 PROBLEM
Do you have an ETA for 4.99 r5 yet? I've just set up a new GMKtec NUCbox 9 PC to upgrade my aging MSI all in one but although I've installed CNC12 and it seems to talk to the Acorn, I have held off on configuring it for my system for now. https://www.gmktec.com/collections/mini ... t_cols_1.1
I'd rather wait for 4.99 if that will avoid having to take loads of screenshots etc. Certainly looks as if the process will be more more streamlined!

Re: Going from V4.62 to V4.82 PROBLEM
You're still gonna need "loads of screen shots" of your current 4.82 system when 5.0 (beta 4.99 currently) finally becomes available. You wont be able to restore a 4.82 report to the newest version when it's ready. Reports are only good for the same version.
