New build post, Acorn on Wells Index 700

I guess I went about this wrong, not starting a new build post before I asked questions. But anyway here it is. Too say this is new to me would be an under statement. The closest to cnc I ever got is my burn table. So far everything seems to be going good. All bench tests have been successful. I was a little worried about the Chinese servos but I think they will do just fine for me. The machine is a Wells Index 700 that I got cheap. All the cnc controls had been removed. I'll post pics as I make some more progress.

hello. thanks for posting. these are great old machines if they have been kept lubed up.
i suggest you make an online photo album (use any of these free online services, google photos is popular) and post the link here. that way all photos will be in one place and same link to album forever etc..

Had some time today while waiting for some electrical parts, so I made a monitor mount for the mill. Turned out pretty good. We'll have to see if it's in my way or not.
