Re: Recommendations for PC to run p.m. 940 conversion
OK, so I went into the configuration wizard and I'm pretty sure I set. What needed to be set to 5.08? And then basically when I look on the screen and it shows that I move one inch, the machine moves more than one inch. Also. The speed. Is a whole hell of a lot faster now. And I think it's moving so fast that. It's the reason it keeps throwing a fault if I move it nice and slow in any. Motion. Or mediocre speed it's OK, but as soon as I go to the high speed jog. It falls out. In each axis. I believe because it's going too fast. Anyhow, here is my current report. Onward and upward. Hopefully I can get some. Help with this one.

You have set Fast Jog and Max Rate to 400 in/min.
That is pretty fast
Reduce to 250 or less, what makes you feel confident.

Does the rest seem correct?? any ideas why I’m getting this drive fault??

Trying to move faster than the servos can do results in drive fault

Re: Recommendations for PC to run p.m. 940 conversion
OK I’ll have to sit down and play around with some of the configurations, I work for myself and as winter approaches I’ll get more and more time to work on the machine

Re: Recommendations for PC to run p.m. 940 conversion
Do my other settings seem correct because like I said on the screen showing machine movement of 1 inch it moves a lot more than 1 inch on the actual machine???

Re: Recommendations for PC to run p.m. 940 conversion
OK so I put an indicator on base on my X axis and measured 1 inch of movement on the machine on the screen it reads.0252 So I’m not sure what is wrong

Re: Recommendations for PC to run p.m. 940 conversion
Are the motors mounted with a belt drive an a gear ratio?
Looks on one pic like a big pulley on the motor and a small on the machine...
Are the drivers set to 6400 pulse like Acorn?
