If your interested you can have this Delta VFD, just pay the shipping, works fine. Building a new control cabinet and went with a different inverter.

Oh wow! That is incredibly generous of you!
I noticed it is 220V and presently I only have 120. But I was thinking of running 220 anyway.
However, it appears that the input is 220V 3 phase. Will it run off of regualar 220V (single phase) at a home residence?
Again, I am shocked at your genersosity!
And I very much appreciate the help of everyone else that has given input on this VFD issue. Slowly I am learning.

I'm no expert but it still seems 9 amps setting is incorrect. If you configure your online calculator with line to line voltage instead of line to neutral (assuming only 3 power wires + ground between VFD and spindle i.e. no 4th wire neutral) and a power factor of 0.8 (80 being stamped on motor next to PF symbol) you will see considerably higher than 9 amps.

In that case I would love to give this a try! It may take a bit before I can afford to run 220 to my shop and purchase a 220 spindle, but I have a 220 bench and access to a 3ph motor at work and I can at least learn the interface! You might not be an expert but I'll wager that you know more than I do so I am grateful for your input.
I would really need to see a wiring diagram of the spindle motor. If the motor was a delta winding then no neutral would be needed and I would think that Line to Line would be the right way to go. If the motor is using a star winding then I would think that the line to neutral would be it.
I really wish I knew.
I work for a utility company. I think I may call the motor shop tomorrow and pick their brains.

Ok.... I found the issue. Or maybe I should say I was given something to try and it worked. I wrote to Huanyang Electrical and they told me all of the same things I was getting here. After a few messages they told me to try the setting below:
PD070=0 (This may need to be set to 1 if Control Voltage is 0-5v)
I originally left it at 0 since I will be using the Acorn to control the VFD eventually.
I switched it to 1 and it allowed me to reach the 400Hz/24kRPM. (From the pot on the front panel)
I guess I will have to play with it when I connect it to the Acorn this weekend.

Glad you got it sorted out. Make sure you run the spindle bench test one last time before you hook it up to Acorn. And don't forget to set PD070 to 0 when you do.
You will probably need a .1 MFD cap to place across the analog output of Acorn for a stable signal and RPM.

Thanks! I just happen to have .1 MFD caps as I was using them to make snubber circuits for the contactors.

HI , PD142 and PD143 , these parameters do not need to be set because the default parameters of the VFD are sufficient. Has been able to correctly match the motor
If you still want to know. The rated current is 20A and the spindle is 2 poles.Thanks
