Driver issues

Post by cmickey »

Hi all. It looks likeI am having driver troubles. I am using Centroid Acorn. My Drivers are Stepper online DM860 T, the motors are also Stepper online. 6.0A 9N.Nm. The power supply is 48 volts. My problem seems to a homing issue on the Y and Z axis. X will home. Not Y and Z. If I use the X driver connected to SP1 It works. When I connect the X driver to SP2 or 3 they will not home. I'n not sure if the Y and Z drivers are bad or if the acorn board is bad on SP2 and 3. My mill is a Precision Mathews PM25.

For now while you are testing an moving axis around, let's ignore the axis labels. My guess is that the FIRST axis to home is causing electrical noise and causing Ethernet communication errors with the PC. Follow the advice in Tech Bulletin 270 to resolve your communication issues FIRST or you'll just be wasting time with the homing problem.
