Hi guys.
I am trying to wire up an AC servo drive to control a servo as my spindle drive on a Rhino 8 lathe. It's a 3.8kW servo. The driver takes a -10 to 10V analog signal. The Acorn only outputs 0-10V. Is there another way to control it? It can obviously take step and direciton, I just dont know how to configure the software to control the spindle with that signal. I am also using the 3rd axis outputs to control a stepper motor on a turret.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Depends on the driver.
I use 0-10V for speed and the Dir Input on the driver to change direction.

The driver only takes -10 to 10V input if it's controlled with analog signal. The step and direction signals are used if that mode of control is used/enabled.

Check out CNC4PC's C89 adapter board to convert analog signal to -10/+10

Thank you for that suggestion. I will definitely give it a try, I didn't know that existed.
