Do you have the manual? Wiring it is only half the problem, now you have to reprogram the VFD properly.
Yes I have the manual what parameters should I be looking for?

I got the spindle to turn on through Acorn but cant control the speed, so if I run m3s1000 or s3000 it just runs at the same speed. Acorn shows 3000 but the spindle runs at a different speed no matter what. What can be the problem? Thank you

You need to program your VFD to use an external voltage signal for speed input.
Cheers,

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

You must set ALL the parameters on the VFD correctly for your motor. Most of them are more important than the frequency input method, as a mistake can burn up the motor or VFD.

As Gary noted, there are MANY parameters to verify/change to match the VFD to your motor. It may run right out of the box but that does not mean the parameters are correct for your spindle. ONE of those parameters is just to allow the Acorn to control the speed. There may be many more parameters that need adjustment.

Is the VFD new to you or has it been connected and programmed to the spindle motor you have?

If you post a link to the manual and the specs of your spindle we can help you further but we can't suggest setting without a manual or knowing what exactly you are hooking it to. We need more info.

The VFD was programmed already to the spindle it has, I'm attaching the manual of the VFD. The spindle is a 3HP spindle water cooled. Thank you

Yup, F0.2 with a value of 1 will get the Acorn controlling the speed. Let us know how it works out.

Then you don't have it wired properly. If you were able to control it with the keypad at first and then you changed F0.2 to a value of 1 and it didn't work then chances are it's not wired properly. Post pictures and/or a diagram of how you wired the VFD.
