Hello, I'm new to cnc DIY and need some help connecting my Sunfar E300 VFD to the Acorn board, I've taken a look at the PDFs but none show me a similar VFD. I've uploaded a photo of the VFD.
Thank you

The manual for the drive should tell you what you need to connect to what.

If you Google Sunfar E300 manual and look under the basic electrical connections there is a diagram that shows every connection

I searched for the basic wiring, and here is a screenshot. Can you help me out with connections. I'm very new at this. Thank you very much.

Re: Need help connecting my Sunfar E300 VFD
The important ones are power in and power to the motor. You also will need to hook up the 0-10v terminals. The manual will have a section that shows exactly how. It can be done in different ways you will use 0-10 with the acorn. Ignore the rest for now.
Is your input power single or three phase? From what I recall I had a Sunfar e300 VFD a long time ago but it had a single phase input.

I was asking because your diagram shows a 3 phase power input. Check for the section in the manual that gives more detail about power input.

The diagram that you provided is very clear as to where the various wires should be connected. If you do not understand them completely, you should consider having someone local to you assist you so that you do not "let out the magic smoke"

Re: Need help connecting my Sunfar E300 VFD
I connected everything, when I control the spindle from the VFD manually it works but I can't get it to work from the Acorn.
I connected AN OUT from Acorn to AI on the VFD and CM from the VFD to AN GND on the Acorn and I can't get it to run. I just need help on the connection from the Acorn to the VFD, if anyone can help that would be great. Thank you.

Re: Need help connecting my Sunfar E300 VFD
You may have it connected correctly now but you have to change the programming parameters of the VFD so it know it's being controlled by the analog inputs and not the front panel buttons. Do you have the manual? Wiring it is only half the problem, now you have to reprogram the VFD properly.
