Make sure you use thrust bearing assembly at the top to take the THRUST of the ballscrew forces

What kind of materials are you planning on machining?
You understand you size the axis motor, the ballscrew, any pulley reduction based on the application, the rigidity of the machine, the spindle HP etc.

My suggestion to you is be realistic as to what you intend on machining and go search similar machines and see how they are configured. Unless you are a Mechanical Engineer.

Also, please realize you are on the Centroid Acorn forum. we support the Centroid Acorn control, we aren't necessarily here to support your choices as you build the machine. CNCZONE would be a better place for those machine related mechanical questions.

That said many of us can share our experiences with you, but at the end of the day, you have to decide what is best for your application.

I would use 1605 for the short Z ballsrcew. Better torque and precision with good speed for the short travel.

Here are more photos and a plan the feet do not touch the ground but they will come on the tubular frame that supports the cnc

Voici d'autres photos et un plan les pieds ne touche pas terre mais ils viendront sur le châssis tubulaire qui soutient la cnc
