Error message <fixed>

Post by avp »

Hello all,
The error message that I get randomly, not all the time. Seems to be when I go to park the machine but not all the time.
See picture, Btw I am using swissi's probe app for my tool library and tool offset settings. If I restart CNC12 it works fine.
Anyone know what would cause this?
Thank you
Bill

often this is caused by the tool library file becoming corrupted. back up the cncm directory now to another drive/usb stick.
then run file system checks on the c: drive.

and this unrelated observation.... when looking at the report.zip (thanks for posting).. the machine has an extremely low turns ratio on the Y axis,(.6367) more reduction is needed for best motion.

As Keith recommends.
I add:
Take screen shots of all your WIzard screens, print them out.

Scan your hard disk for errors
Then:
Rename the cncm directory to cncm OLD
Do a fresh install of CNC12. Reload your license
Using your screen shots, go back and take 20 minutes to hand key in all your machine settings in the Wizard pages from your hard copy screen shots.

I have not done a re install as of yet. Just been very busy with cutting parts. It is still happening and what I have noticed is that it seems to happen when the machine sits idle for a while. The idle time varies though. Could be a couple hours or so. Any other thoughts on the cause of this? It would seem that if it was a corruption issue it would happen all the time. I did go through all the settings in windows 10 prior to install to turn off all the things in the video.

Hello,
Has anybody else had a similar issue. I figured I would finally upgrade to 4.80 and do a fresh install. I did key in all settings and did not use the restore from report method. I still get this error from time to time. I would think it has to do with windows itself, any further thoughts?

Hello, still having this problem randomly. If I could just fix this one issue everything would be perfect on my machine and control software.
I have been loving Centroid over mach3 since the switch. So much smoother machine movement and control. I just wish I could lick this one annoying issue.
Thanks for all the help.

Yeah, I know. It is always the same, Error saving offset library, Error saving tool library. As said it seems to happen when sitting idle for while.
Is there anything I could check in windows configuration or something when it happens?
