Ether1616 Outputs not working <self resolved video>
Hey everyone,
This is something I have been trying to figure out for awhile now and I am too the point where I need to ask for help. I have my spindle cooling fan on one of the Ether1616 outputs and when I either run a job or force the output nothing happens. It is as if my ether1616 did not get the command. I know the Ether1616 is working because the inputs are working.

Re: Ether1616 Outputs not working
Is that the correct relay board for the Ether1616?
Can you attempt to force any of the other outputs from the Ether1616 into the correct state?

Re: Ether1616 Outputs not working
That is the relay board that came with the Ether1616. No I cannot force any other outputs for the Ether1616.

Re: Ether1616 Outputs not working
Hi It looks like you have the Relay Board hooked directly to the Acorn Board and you are connected to output 8. Try forcing output 8 and see if it turns on the relay you are connected to.

Re: Ether1616 Outputs not working
Remember outputs on the Ether1616 start at 33:
Output 1 on Ether1616 with A0 address = CNC12 output 33
Output 2 on Ether1616 with A0 address = CNC12 output 34
Output 3 on Ether1616 with A0 address = CNC12 output 35
etc..
Output 1 on Ether1616 with A0 address = CNC12 output 33
Output 2 on Ether1616 with A0 address = CNC12 output 34
Output 3 on Ether1616 with A0 address = CNC12 output 35
etc..
Cheers,
Tom

Re: Ether1616 Outputs not working
I have my E1616 mounted under my Acorn. I have DC circuits on the left and AC on the right.TheKitMill wrote: ↑Sun Nov 07, 2021 10:22 am Hi It looks like you have the Relay Board hooked directly to the Acorn Board and you are connected to output 8. Re: Ether1616 Outputs not working
Ill try that but but even if I run code it still doesn't turn on.

Re: Ether1616 Outputs not working
Good you made a video with the solution. Nice to have someone go the extra mile on that. It might help someone in the future.
