Did you do a benchtest when you got Acorn? Before you put it in the machine? That would have been the time to discover the issue. Keep in mind the are all tested on a fixture before they ship.

Did you try another PC?

Yes, Did a benchtest when I got, before it went in the machine and checked errors as we wired it and added new parts. We have set up another computer that meets the requirements found on the forum. We found sometimes when the machine starts it doesn't connect to acorn and sometimes it doesn't but if we fiddle with the cable connected to Acorn and restart, it connects.

You'll have to take it up with Centroid.

Tried different power up order and cable tied the ethernet cable inside the cabinet close to the Acorn board and let it run a short program. 2 clean runs without an error. Removed the cable tie and the errors returned.

You can just replace the BBG which would give you a new Ethernet connector for the Acorn. You'll need a new license file just send in a freshreport.zip to support@ centroidcnc.com and ask for a new license file after you have installed the new BBG And they'll send it to you.

I had to stop using my Thinkcetre all in one PC as the internal ethernet adapter in it would have send and receive errors with Acorn. Changed the pc and haven't had those errors since.

Well, today after replacing the computer and cable we can run a program without errors but still losing steps no matter what speed the machine is set at. It seems to only be the y-axis. We removed the wiring connectors for the steeper motor and joined them by soldering them and nothing changed. That is now ruled out. Not sure where to go from here. I have no idea how to test the Beagle board or the stepper driver. Any ideas would be great!
