Re: Acorn controller card question
You right, i don,t know why i set 16, the motor only needs 2 rev. To complete one inch of travel, i will fix this righ away and let you know what looks like.
Thanks
Thanks

You see, this is why we need the machine specifics, so we can give you GOOD information.noel-nogal wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 2:02 pm You right, i don,t know why i set 16, the motor only needs 2 rev. To complete one inch of travel, i will fix this righ away and let you know what looks like.

You DID provide the report, which told me you had set 16 turns per inch. We knew a router does not have that fine a pitch.
BUT we can't GUESS at what you really have.
Had you tested movement, you would have known the machine was not setup correctly.
Please take a look at the attached documents. They are from the All in One DC manual but the setup and calculations still pertain to Acorn
START with the Coarse DRO adjustment and then follow up with FINE DRO adjustment
REMEMBER! We are also assuming you have the gear ratio IN the Yaskawa drives set to 4096. Did you go INTO the drives to set this up/verify?
Let us know how you make out. DO post a fresh report after you make your changes.

Re: Acorn controller card question
I made the adjustments in the software, i calibrate the distance 12 in on x an y axis, but the results of the calculation is close to 16 the number i had before, but the motor shaft only turns 2-1/4 revs per inch phisically,
I have set to 200khz the wizard but rapid speed doesn't change when i increase the max rate the motors start fast but quickly stall. Maybe the drive setting is the issue?

DID you check the gearing IN the Yaskawa drives?

Re: Acorn controller card question
I trying to find the gearing in the drive.
The manual you posted goes through that.

Re: Acorn controller card question
Why is the Z axis motor steps per rev set to 1600?

Re: Acorn controller card question
Nope. Work on one axis and get it done, then you will know how to address the other two. I don't think your drive gearing is setup correctly.noel-nogal wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 6:52 pm Ok the z axis i have not adjusted yet i am trying with the X and Y, do i have to set all at the same time?

Re: Acorn controller card question
The machine is running now, you were right drives had to be reset the gearing for new parameters, i still have to make fine adjustments but for now it looks good, i have to work with the ATC macro but i know you are there, thank you very much for your support.
