auto Homing turns pairing off

Post by edand19941 »

I reinstalled CNC12 4.64 and reset all the Wizard settings (correctly I believe). I set it up for auto home and auto paring using a y-axis master and slave. I jog tested to be sure that the slave home switch opened before the master switch ( about 0.030 difference in travel). I squared the gantry and jog tested all axis for correct direction. Everything is fine to this point. Now, when I home The z-axis stops at the switch and steps back, the x-axis stops but does not step back and the y-axis is unpaired and only the master lead screw moves. After resetting the correct pairing in the wizard and going through the same procedure, the same thing happens. really have no idea what is going on. The last report is attached for diagnosis. All and any help is appreciated.

It appears you did NOT reinstall your license.
Press F1 Setup, what does the screen say?

Your Report shows:

You also have a number of PC/MPU Resends in your error log.
To look at it, press F7 Utilities, F9 Logs, F1 Errors

Though toward the end they seem to go away. Keep an eye on that.

OK. It says Acorn free. I thought that when I restored an older report that it would also reset the license. What do I do now?

F7 Utilities
F8 Option

Point it to your license file.
The file is called license.dat in your old CNC directory if you didn't keep a copy of it in another folder on your C: drive

It appears that I have erased this file. I will try to contact Centroid and see if they will resend it.

Its is in your OLD report file, just unzip the report and look for license.dat

You should have created a COPY of the old CNC directory before you did any upgrading....
