Sensor issue with Lube pump (Resolved)

Post by Chas »

Hi, just setting up the lube pump on my lathe and have run across a small issue with connecting the lube pump sensor. Before i connect the sensor wire to terminal 9 i can measure 23v between common and the return sensor wire. When i connect to terminal 9 this drops to 4.3v . If i bring up the IO screen terminal 9 is green with a bar over it. If i press ctrl alt i to remove the bar the light turns red instead and everything shuts down. The lube pump reservoir is full so contact is closed. Can somebody tell me if i should be getting 23v at terminal 9 and if so why does it drop to 4.3 when the sensor wire reads 23v when disconnected from terminal 9. Report attached.
Many thanks
Chas

With both sensor wires disconnected from the control, how many Ohms resistance do you measure between them?

Hi, managed to resolve the issue. Removed the pump and found an iffy connection. 24v now when connected to terminal 9 and have been able to remove the bar in the IO screen.
Many thanks.
