Help with VDF wiring and set up
Hello all, I'm and Ritchie new to the centroid Community form. I am setting up a all in one dc drive with a invertek P/N ODE-3-320153-1042, 5 HP, 230V Phase Converter much help for the wiring and setting parameters to connect up the all in one DC drive? If any of the users out there are using one or can help the set up, The help would be appreciated.. https://www.driveswarehouse.com/ode-3-320153-1042

Re: Help with VDF wiring and set up
Hi Ritchie,
Your drive is like most, has an example diagram.
You need to ascertain which terminals are
Analog input
Analog Com
Forward (Usually Digital Input 1)
Reverse (Usually Digital Input 2)
VFD Reset (Usually Digital Input 3 but digital inputs can be programmed)
Common for the digital inputs
Dry contacts for VFD Fault and which pair to use (Usually set by default but can be programmed)
You have to read through the manual and figure out how to program the above. If you can't figure it out, if you bought the drive from a reputable company, their support staff should be able to help you with suggestions.
I have never personally used that drive.
Good luck!
Marty

I'm a little confused. Do you have a DC or AC motor?arriusone wrote: ↑Mon Feb 15, 2021 6:14 pm Hello all, I'm and Ritchie new to the centroid Community form. He used phase converter when in fact he links to a VFD or "Variable Frequency Drive" Looks like a decent one....BodeRacing wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 12:13 pmI'm a little confused. Cheers,

Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

Re: Help with VDF wiring and set up
Typical Relay's have contacts. Those are "dry" contacts.
Have you done a CNC Control conversion before? Do you have basic electrical/electronics experience?
Do take the time to watch my video playlist on All in One DC if you haven't already
