license.dat vs entering unlock #?

Post by Thinkin »

I'm finally getting my Allin1DC up and running. all the paperwork and demos show a press F1 in the f7 Utility>F8 Option screen but all I have is a f2 option to enter a license.dat. Is there a way around this or do I need to contact centroid to get them to send me this license file?

Yes, you either need to get a license file from Centroid (for CNC12 v4.16 or later); or you need to install CNC12 v4.14 instead.

Centroid Servo 4.16 changed to a table d'hote pricing scheme from the previous a la carte method. This document explains the change: https://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_di ... ctions.pdf

When did you buy your All in One and what did you pay for it? What did Centroid Email you?
I would go with 4.16 and use the new software package program:

I bought straight from centroid. I still have their email, I’ll just give them a shout. Thanks.

If there is a newer version of the software I should probably start there. This is my first centroid swap so I’m not worried about re-learning anything.
